1. About This Service

Korea Car VIN (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by a company registered in the Republic of Korea. The Service allows users to decode Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) to view manufacturing information such as manufacturer, model, model year, fuel type, and engine specifications.

The Service is VIN-decoding only. We do not provide, and this Service should not be used to obtain, vehicle accident history, ownership history, or any personal information about a vehicle’s current or past owner.

2. Accuracy of Information

Information shown on the Service falls into two categories, clearly labeled on each result:

• “VIN Standard” — derived directly from the VIN’s ISO 3779 structure (country, manufacturer, model year). This data is highly reliable.
• “Estimated” — derived from statistical matching against our own dataset of vehicle sales and auction records. This data may not be accurate for every VIN and is provided on a best-effort basis.

We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the completeness or accuracy of any information provided, and disclaim liability for decisions made in reliance on it.

3. Accounts

• You may use basic VIN lookup without creating an account.
• Creating a free account allows you to save your VIN search history (“My VIN Searches”).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You may delete your account at any time; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data upon deletion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated means (scraping, bots, bulk querying) to extract data from the Service beyond normal individual use;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or overload the Service's infrastructure;
• Use the Service to build a competing VIN-decoding product without authorization;
• Submit false or misleading information when creating an account.

We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access for violations of this section.

5. Third-Party Links

The Service may display links to third-party websites, including vehicle marketplaces. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, or availability of listings on those platforms; any transaction you enter into is solely between you and that platform.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service’s design, branding, and underlying VIN-matching methodology are the property of the Service’s operator. NHTSA public data is used under its applicable public-domain terms. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service’s proprietary content without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to decisions made when purchasing a vehicle based on information provided.

8. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
